Mission
The mission of the Croatian Sheepdog Conservation Club of the USA is to preserve, protect, and promote the Croatian Sheepdog while maintaining the breed's historical purpose, sound temperament, health, working ability, and genetic diversity.
The Club is dedicated to preserving the Croatian Sheepdog as it has been developed and maintained in its country of origin, Croatia, and to protecting the breed's unique characteristics for future generations. We are committed to encouraging responsible ownership, ethical breeding practices, breeder education, and participation in conformation, herding, and performance events that showcase the breed's versatility and heritage.
Recognizing Croatia as the homeland of the Croatian Sheepdog, the Club values a respectful and cooperative relationship with Croatian breeders, breed organizations, judges, and fanciers. We will work to preserve the integrity of the breed by honoring its established standard, history, and purpose while fostering collaboration and mutual respect between the United States and Croatia.
The Club will support the advancement of the Croatian Sheepdog within the American Kennel Club Foundation Stock Service and work toward full AKC recognition while always placing the long-term preservation, welfare, and conservation of the breed above all other interests.
